A man tour through a valley not looking back at the city witch he came from. His house burned, his family dead, except for his dad which had a left long ago never to be seen again. Ducking arrows and he ran into the forest of the King Lyman II.
He tore through the forest ducking behind a tree, when he heard footsteps behind him, and out from the darkness came a beautiful young looking blonde girl. She had long hair growing down to her waist and a blue tank top and short shorts.
She looked about and spotted the man.
“Hello,” she said in a tender voice. “I won't bite.” He stepped out of the shadows ready to fight.
“Did those bad men hurt you?” she said in a mother to baby tone eyeing an arrow puncture on his left shoulder.
“It’s nothing,” he said wincing in pain as she touched and poked at the wound.
“Drink this,” she said handing a nice blood-red potion from her belt.“It will make you feel better.” He gulped down the potion and one swig. Anything to make his wound feel better.
“This way,” she whispered. “ They will be happy to see you. A new member. It’s been ages since we last had one.” She gave up him a toothy grin and started to run.
“Hey!” he shouted after her. “How can I trust you?”
“You can't,” she said.
As they walked through the Dark Forest the man spotted more and more people. Some beating up dummies. Others farming and chopping down trees. But out of all the people the man was only interested in one. She had serious expression on her face and she sat with five other people, two boys and three girls. They were all sitting at a large table with a map.“This is where we saw them last!” said a man pointing at a dark green bloch. “I say we attack them. We know that they're there and it won't take much to destroy them.”
The girl shot up and said, “Kyle, now you know we couldn't afford to lose any more men.” She gave him a dirty look then slammed her fists into the table. Scooching back into her chair she said, “ Any more ideas.” Then she spotted the man and the girl that found him.
“Hello,” she said in a cheery voice. “Who might you be?”
“I'm noneyourbusines” He said scowling.
“You can trust me,” she said in a soft voice. But in response noneyourbusines gave her a look of that said “Sure I can.”
“We are the resistance. We are the people that rebelled against the emperor's awful laws and fight against it the ghost of Mitchell the great, AKA The Walking Shadow.“ she said pointing at the men and women at the table. “This is Kyle. He's the leader of the army. She’s Sue,” The girl said pointing at a woman with hair dyed red, red shorts, red boots and a black shirt. “She's the master of redstone. Oh yeah and over there is Nico,”She said pointing at older boy with brown hair a green shirt and long brown pants. “He runs the brewery. I mean potions. And over here,” She said putting it her hands on a girl’s shoulders. “is Lila.”
The girl gave noneyourbusines a bright smile and said “I'll be your trainer.” Before noneyourbusiness could respond the girl said.
“And last but not least here is a Kaya.” She said gesturing to a girl with a bow strung over her shoulder and then a grim look. “I'm Master of the hunt,” she said in a sweet voice for a girl that looked like she was going to slaughter noneyourbusiness in two seconds. “And I'm Olive,” said the girl that had been talking before.
Noneyourbusines200 sighed and said, ”My real name is Alex.”
“Splendid,” Olive said “Now come with me and Lila.”
Olive led Alex and Lila to a wide yard with targets and dummies. Somehow kyle had already gotten there.
“You two get some weapons for this new guy,” he snarled to the to men next to him.. “And make it snappy!” The two men walked away quickly grumbling. “Hey new-bee.” Kyle said in a low voice to Alex. “From now on you’ll be serving at my feet.”
“ Sure I will,” Alex said in an “I know more than you” voice. He gave a slight bow and came up smiling. Kyle grabbed him by the scruff of his neck. “I’ll kill you now if I haff too,” He said in a killer tone “Lucky for you it will be a painless death.” Kyle was about to stab a sword through Alexes heart when the soldiers came back waving training swords and carrying armor.
“Sir,” one said in a gruff voice handing Kyle the tools to combat. “ The supplies you wanted.” Kyle dropped Alex and said. “ Your not worth my time.”
“Um, well…”Is all Alex could say.
“Gees, I’ve heard better comebacks from a ham-sandwich.” Kyle reapied. “Get a life.”
Alex moved uncomfortably. “Get out of my face.” He said finally looking up.
“I challenge you to a battle.” was his reply.
“What,”Alex refused. “I can’t fight.”
“En garde.” Kyle said shoving a sword in Alex’s face. The fight was on. Kyle took a few swings at Alex who blocked them but lost his sword mid-swing.
“Blast!”Yelled Alex in tryumf. He grabbed the weapon closest to him, an axe. It was leaning against a tree. The axe was newly forged with a extremely sharp blade. Alex took one loded swing and cut Kyles wooden sword in half.
“What the,” Kyle said. “You think that will stop me.”
“Worth a try.” Alex shrugged. And with those words Kyle drue another sword. He frantically stabbed at Alex’s chest. Kile forced the blade at Alex’s arm and left a bloody rip in Alex’s robe. Alex, in response jumped back and howled in pain. “Taste the wrath of the walking shadow.” Kyle yelled over the sound of silence.
“You trader!” Scolded Lila. She and Olive both drue their weapons. Olive had a nice diamond increased axe. Lila had a long-bow and iron sword. “ Let us show you what we do to traders.” They struck with full force swings. Kyle was equally as strong. He was dogging here and there. Olive was too slow on one swing and Kyle took the offering and punched Olive in the face. She fell, uncaushes, to the ground. “Don’t you know the saying, the ladies always right.” With that Lila charged and attempted to cut Kyle in half but he blocked. With all the force from the attack Kyle’s sword went flying. Lila fell to the ground next to Olive, to exhausted.
Kyle started to laugh. “Nobody can overtake me. Destroyer of amys. Vanquisher of, What!” The what part came out when Alex put his ax under Kyles chin.
“How did you..? When did you..? You where over there.” He sppuderd pointing at the spot Alex just was. Kyle's’ eyes glinted with mischief. “It’s war,” He declared. “ People are choosing sides. You must to, little Alex. If you choose this side you will have complete control. As for that team,” he said groping for his sword. “ Never let your enemy distract you.” He suggested.
“I’ll join you.” Alex said. Lilas jaw dropped. “ I’ve read Mitchell is so powerful he can destroy armies at a time.” Alex said.” Now come over hear and discuss what I will do now.” As they walked over to a near tree Alex got ready to strike. When they reached their destination Alex punched Kyle. “Never let your enemy distract you.” Alex said in a “I know more than you” voice.
“You little…!¨. Snapped Kyle.
“Gees, I’ve heard better comebacks from a ham-sandwich.” Alex said knowing he was getting on Kyles nerves. Knowing his work was finished he brought down his axe. Alex ran over to Lila and the uncaushes Olive.
“How did you make it out?” Olive asked once she caught her breath.
“Alex did it.” Lila said. “If it wasn't for him we would both be dead.” She gave Alex and Olive a weak smile. Lila asked Alex to come and take a walk with her and asked Olive to keep down the fort.
They walked a route that Alex had seen before.
It was the place he ran away from the Emperor's Army . Alex pointed out. All of a sudden a there was a blood curdling scream. It was one of the people that ran from the emperor. And by the scream he just saw the warriors. Something inside Alex just snapped. He drew his axe and ran up the hill.
The warriors cornered the new guy not realizing what was going to happen. Alex charged in with a battle cry. Most of the warriors turned and in return got kicked in the shins. They looked back in anger and turned back to face the new enemy but to late. Alex killed two birds with one stone. Now there was one on his right and one on his left. They cornered him and were ready to attack when one fell to the ground with a sword through his chest.
Alex got a good look at the guy. “He’s getting away!” the new comer yelled.
“ Got it,” Alex said picking up a bow a warrior dropped. Aiming at the warriors back Alex fired. The arrow stuck into the warrior’s lower neck and he dropped dead.
The new guy tackled Alex into the water with a hug. “God you need to teach me how to do that.” he said.
Alex got his second good look at the guy and it wasn't a guy. It was a girl. With marvelous brown hair and beautiful eyes. Beauty seemed to ring out from her. Was it her turquoise top or her drenched light blue skirt? When Alex was looking at her she kissed him on the cheek.
“It was nothing,” he said not sure what to say.
“Come on.” She said. “Those guys were ready for a fight and you sure gave them one.” There was confidence in her voice. There was a loud sound coming from the forest as a full troop of lumberjacks, shepherds and farmers ran from it. Warriors with full sets of armor turned around with sword drawn. Then another troop came into view. They all wore red caps and red shirts red everything in fact.
The war was hard. The troop in red did not take defeat as an option. The lumberjacks shepherds and the farmers used whatever they had to fight off the enemy. Then Alex saw some people he recalled. Sue, Nico, and Kaya.
Nico was throwing potions. Some were green some were purple. Kaya had a bow she was shooting with. Sue had a iron sword she would go to the front line and back. Lila was dealing with two iron swords killing everyone who came after her. The enemy and retreated leaving us alone for a few minutes.
Then like a bomb from the sky a trooper came screaming the news that Olivia the leader of the resistance had died. He came up to Alex and said “ She also gave me news is that you would lead to the resistance.”
“ Me,”Alex sputtered hearing the news “She must have been mistaken. I can’t lead an army.”
“You must.”said an old man stuttering out from the shepherds high-fiving and the lumberjacks swinging their tools and singing old lumbering songs. Trying to have a his voice sound over the crowd. “Lady Olive has chose you for a new leader. We must obey you and her decision to make you the leader. How unfortunate.”
“Excuse me sir but what’s unfortunate” Alex said in and nervous tone.
“Nothing. Right now we must get your weapon.” he said. He climbed up to the top of a tree.
“People of the resistance.” he said in his loud, gruff voice. “ We have just received word that our lady Olive has died. In these inconvenient times we must help our leader.” He said raising Alex‘s hand. And like that the whole crowd bowed. Then they got up and cheered. They stopped when they heard the old man start talking again. “These are also times of inconvenience because of the war upcoming.” Alex was already going to choose the side of the resistance but now he was forced to.
Then a scream echoed through the crowd as red warrior rushed from the crowd.
Everyone looked to see who had screamed but Alex and the old man could see it quite clearly. Alex ran to Lila who was laying lifeless on the ground, arrow in her back. Then two men ran from the crowd and put on a red suits of armor and went for Nico. Niko chugged a potion and all of a sudden disappeared. One of the men in red started floating clutching his neck and then he jerked his head to the side and fell to the ground unconscious. Then the other jerked his head head straight backwards and tumbled down, dead. Then Niko appeared in front of them. ¨Potion of invisibility,:¨ he shrugged, never leave home without it.¨
Two days went by without an attack by the enemy. The resistance gathered a help from some villages. Oreville, Ceiterbro, and mellington, the second most biggest town in the all the area. Almost everyone in all the villages joined them on their quest. Most of the people joined them because they were either kicked out of Herocity or tried to be executed by the Emperors warriors. Most were actually trained quite well.
Alex got a new weapon, a beautiful diamond encrusted sword. The attack was tomorrow and it was decided that he would kill the emperor once and for all. All the troops were pretty much ready.
Alex just lie they’re in bed staring at the ceiling having a vision of all of the thoughts and hopes and dreams of his people that might just disappear tomorrow. It was his responsibility to kill the Emperor and if he didn’t then the world would have no chance. With all the dread and confusion wearing his head down he felt his eyelids getting heavy and drifted off to sleep.
In the morning Alex was greeted by Nico and Kaya.” Good morning champ. You’re gonna need these.” Nico said handing out him three potions of healing. He smiled and left and Kaya left right after him.
The sun was creeping up her over the skyscrapers of Herocity. Alex could hear the sound of fighting in the distance. In the courtyard hundreds of warriors from both sides were fighting. Alex wasn’t in the action though. He was gazing upon the tall Mitchell memorial. It had a large granite columns and it looked like a church from the inside. Inside he found the emperor were the leader of the church usually stands. He was bowing out in front of her for golden blocks shaped like a T.
“Do not be alarmed a son, I will not hurt you, yet.” He said in a calm soothing voice for someone that looks so old.
“Son?”Alex said confused. The emperor smiled lovingly. “It’s me, your father.”
How can I trust him Alex thought.
“You just have to” he said.
Can he read my thoughts?
“In fact I can,” replied the Emperor. “Join me,” he said.
“Join you? I’ll see you in hell first.”Alex snarled in discussed.
Than the emperor dropped dead. And out of his body cam a new figure. He had a T-shirt and dark blue jeans with gray shoes. He had a nice sword with a blade sharpener than anything. But when his gaze met Alex is Alex found out that he had no eyeballs just whiteness and emptiness. He struck first with a channeled strike. Alex blocked and went for the throat. Mitchell teleported to the other side of Alex and struck his back. Alex fell forward in exhaustion. Alex would’ve been killed if it weren’t for a white figure zipping around Mitchell. She kicked Mitchell in the face and turned it to Alex. It was Olive but the look on her face told me it wasn’t going to be pretty. Then she faded leaving him and Mitchell.
“Little brat!” he yelled furiously.
He sliced the air and charged. Their swords collided and Alex dodged a vigorous hit from Mitchell. Alex was able to land a kick and knock Mitchell doun. Alex was about to finish him off when Mitchell started to levitate. He waved his hand and a bow magicly apeird. He notched an arrow and let it fly. Alex ducked and looked up at the now smileing Mitchell. “Look out,” he said as the arrow he had dogged flew into his left shoulder.
Homing arrows! thought Alex. Then he felt his knees buckle as he fell on his knees in a bowing stance.
“Finally,”Mitchell said in a relieving tone. “The respect I deserve.” Then out of nowhere someone grabbed Mitchell by the feet.
“ I’ve wanted this for a long time.” A long time said a old, wise voice. “Ever since you possessed me.” Alex ran to see the fight and when he got close the emperor got sliced in half. Alex approached and when Mitchell recovered he looked up into the blaising eyes of Alex and with one swipe of his sword Mitchell died. The emperor killed himself so the war could be won.
“And like that the wrath of Mitchell was over.” Alex said looking at the battlefield of victory. His men clapping and cheering. “We have won one war!” Alex yelled over the crowd “but there are more to come, I promise.” And on that note he walked into the city with a bright future ahead.
