The forest swayed around as a bird sung his night time song. The great orange sun set and the sky turned dark. Two wizards picked berries in the forest’s shadows. The wind blew slowly. Suddenly a burst of sound erupted in the darkness.
“BOOM!”
One of the wizards, Quill, quickly looked up worried. The tree’s branches blocked out his sight as he heard an owl’s call.
“Hmm, what was that?” Quill asked shivering.
The second wizard, Eric, picked a berry, then looked over at Quill smiling as if he had played a prank on someone.
“I don’t know, must be Master Andy playing with his explosions and fireworks again!” Eric chuckled.
The sky turned black as a crow. Fire berries in the forest glowed in the dark, making them very visible.
“This is not a time to be joking,” Quill informed, “Master Andy could be in trouble if it isn’t!”
“BOOM!”
Eric looked up. The moon shone in the night’s darkness.
Suddenly the explosions stopped.
“Summon spell! Mystic Colossus!” An unfamiliar voice shouted from above.
A giant cloud of smoke exploded from on top, then cleared revealing a giant yellow standing grasshopper holding a big crystal ball attached to its back with an iron knot. Its green eyes shone in the moonlight.
Suddenly it started to stare over in a very different direction. It bent its knees and the crystal ball on its golden scaled back shot out a giant golden beam. When the beam it the ground another explosion was heard and rocks fell off the temple and cracked into pieces when it fell on the the soft grass. Quill quickly ran over to one of the cracked rocks and touched it carefully.
“Ahh!” Quill shouted alarming Eric, “Hot, hot, hot!”
Quill’s hands were scorched. He immediately grabbed a piece of cloth out of his pocket and
“Quick, lets go check it out, sounds like a new spell!” Eric shouted quickly as he runs up the hill of the the temple.
“Ugh, fine!” Quill replied following Eric up.
They ran up to the Sky Temple. When the reached the top, the temple was literally destroyed, all that was left was ruins and the body of their Master.
Quill and Eric ran up to their master and pulls his body over to the soft grass. Master Andy’s body was scorched with flames and burnt badly. Quill sprinted down to the river and grabs a bucket of cold water. Quill dumped it on their Master’s scorched scars. Suddenly their Master came to it and awoke.
“Quill, Eric, nice to see you my loyal students,” Master Andy whispers slowly, “I have bad news, a new evil has been awakened and fully restored from his wounds.
“Quill and Eric,” he says weakly, “We don’t have much time, so here, take this, and remember the scrolls, this is a far greater task than the witch you battled five years ago. Follow the map, in order to destroy this evil, wait, I mean in order to save the world from ending and people getting hurt, like me. You must defeat this new evil. He puts a great threat to our spiral.”
“Who is this new evil?” Eric asked comforting their Master.
“It is an ancient evil feared by many,” Master Andy replied extremely weakly while coughing, “It is the great god of the desert, The Sorc…”
Suddenly Master Andy’s eyes slowly closed and his hard breathing stops.
“Wait, what?” Quill asked, “He isn’t dead is he?”
Quill started sweating, Eric looked at their Master’s face.
“No, he is under paralysis!” Eric said, “That scorch is a shocking flame!”
Quill quickly put his Master’s body in a secret lair below the Sky Temples’ ruins that wasn’t destroyed yet. Eric quickly grabs the map from their Master’s body and Quill grabs the hidden scrolls locked down in the lair. Quill studies the map carefully.
“We have to go to the West and we’ll find a mountain called Troll Mountain.” Quill informed Eric slowly.
Quill and Eric sprinted out into the moonlight. Days pass, nothing happens or appears.
“Why is it always forests everywhere!” Eric screamed out loud.
Then, finally they run into a tall mountain.
“Uh! Is that the mountain right there?” Quill asked with his eyes wide open.
The mountain in front of them reaches up to the sky and somehow, there is the word “troll” carved into it.
“Well, lets go!” Eric shouted. Eric bolts up the mountain. “I bet I could beat you up there!”
Quill looked around quickly then bolts after Eric while yelling. “Hey, wait up dude!”
Quill and Eric reach the top real quick. Quill looked over the land, amazed, as Eric quickly read the map again and again.
“Look at the riddle, Quill!” Eric shouted to get Quill’s attention. Eric shoved the map in Quill’s face.
“You travel the mountain, you tame the bull, but how about us, the mountain trolls?” Eric read.
“What stupid riddle is that, Eric?” Quill chuckled.
“Well, it was in Master Andy’s map!” Eric shouted at Quill, trying to make him stop laughing.
“Huh, yeah right, that riddle makes no sense, there are no such things as trolls!” Quill said.
“STOMP! STOMP! STOMP!”
“What was that?” Quill asked looking around afraid.
A giant troll appeared behind Quill. Eric jumped back and opened his mouth. He pointed slowly behind Quill.
“Troo... Troll!” Eric shouted, alarming Quill and making him jump up.
Quill looked behind him. Quill’s eyes turned big and he started to scream.
“Ah! Run!”
The troll screams with Quill as well until he notices something.
“Huh! Humans! Eat!” The troll shouted.
Four more mountain trolls appeared behind the main troll.
“Eat them!” The other troll yelled out. The trolls charged toward them. Eric grabbed his wand out of his bag and then swings it into the air.
“Fire spell, phoenix, attack!”
A phoenix appeared from the depths of the ground and burned a troll down, then goes for the next one, but slightly missed.
“Ah! Wizard! Fellow troll friends, go, bad!”
The trolls quickly rushed away back to their caves.
Quill quickly grabbed out his wand from his bag and swung it around in the air as the wind blowed on his wand.
“Fire spell! Meteor Striker!” Quill screeched out as the sky turned red and portals got summoned from nowhere. Meteors run out from the portals and strike the remaining running trolls.
“Ah! Run!” The trolls screamed and hollered while falling on the ground.
“Yeah, you run!”
“Quick, look at the map Quill!” Eric shouted, “We don’t want those nasty trolls coming back again.”
Quill once again, quickly studied the map and pointed in the direction they must go.
“Seems we have to go through a forest called Deep Drum Jungle and a swamp called Poison Swamp?” Quill said confused.
Quill and Eric set off and reach Deep Drum Jungle quick in less than an hour. The jungle trees dripped purple liquid as they walked over the dark green ground.
“Is this a maze or something?” Eric asked himself, “And what the heck is this purple liquid?”
“Maze? Probably not, this is what all forests and jungles are like.” Quill replied, “And, this so called purple liquid is poison, look at it!”
The liquid dripped on to a frog and the frog incinerated to particles.
“This place is just creepy and weird!” Eric shouted, “Lets head on to this Poison Swamp, I bet it is twenty times more poisonous.”
Quill and Eric continued on their journey following the map they got from their Master. Suddenly, in less than a day, they reached a swamp with purple water and leafy grounds.
“There is something really messed up with the places the map is telling us to go.” Quill informed Eric who is trailing behind slowly.
“Whatever, I’m too tired.” Eric said weakly as he stumbled on walking slowly. Suddenly, the swamp water shoots up into the blue sky. A water elemental appeared out of the water.
“What the heck is that? Eric chuckled, “Looks like a whirlpool with armor floating in the air!”
The water elemental’s eyes opened, they were dark pink and standed out in the shade. He quickly turned over and stared at Eric. Quill backed up alarmed.
“Hmm, that looks like a water elemental,” Quill informed Eric quietly, “And he doesn’t look to happy!”
“Water Magic, Tsunami Fist!” the water elemental said, “Flee you stupid humans, I, the wise water elemental shall not tolerate such behavior!”
“Hey, you’re not Pops!” Eric shouted over the sound of the water circulating around the elemental’s hands, “Plus we didn’t do nothing, we were just randomly passing by to go on our quest!”
“Yea,” Quill whispered calmly, “I guess.”
The elemental begun to swing his hands then suddenly, launched a wave of water at Quill and Eric.
“Lies you pathetic humans!” The water elemental shouted, “Die now!”
“Um, I don’t think our fire magic works against tsunamis!” Quill screamed, “Ahhh!”
“Look at those waves, that isn’t just water magic, it is a combination of water and lightning magic!” Eric screeched so Quill could hear him, “Look at that electricity power coming out of that wave, it is actually even visible! How? This guy must be really strong!”
Lightning bolts shocked out of the wave making the water flinch and shake. Yellow and blue line marks shocked around the water. The water shot hits Quill and Eric exploding into a burst of electricity power.
“Teleportation Magic!” Eric shouted weakly, “Away!”
Eric quickly grabbed Quill’s arm and disappeared into thin air instantly. They ran past the swamp quickly trying not to grab attention and let the water elemental find them. They speed along to their next destination.
“Hmm, it seems it says next is… WHAT!” Quill shouted alarmed, there is another stupid riddle! You passed the test, tell me, are you ready to face the best, if you are, face me in the Desert Bar.”
“Hahahaha!” Eric chuckled, “That is more lame than the one I read. We aren’t even in a desert. Plus there is no such thing as the Desert Bar, even though we have been traveling in the desert for hours doesn’t mean there actually is a bar in the desert!”
Suddenly, the dirt round turned into sand, then the sand in front of them revealed a bar, the sign on top of the bar clearly said “Bar of the Desert.” Eric looked over at Quill.
“Fine, you win, Eric said acting grumpy, “Lets go.”
Quill and Eric walked into the bar, then they got teleported on top of a weird Desert Temple. Red light peeped out of the holes in the temple. Then a water flush sound was heard. It seemed like there was a ritual going on inside it. Quill carefully looked into the hole and saw a man in a cloak sitting on the floor with mana energy flowing over toward him from pedestals in the corner of the temple room. The mana was visible, blue aura beams circulating around him, pushing dust away and looking like hands touching four pedestals around the temple. Quill could feel magic forces pushing back the wind into his face. Then, suddenly the man’s skin was turning from bright pale to brownish. Eric jumped over to the front entrance of the temple. Quill quickly showed Eric the scrolls they brought, Eric looked up at them and studied them for a short time, then walked forward ignoring Quill, again.
“Oh-no! Quill whispered, Don’t Eric!”
Eric destroyed the front entrance of the door, it blasted open. The man in the middle kept still and calm as he slowly stopped absorbing the mana energy from the pedestals. He looked over with a hood on.
“Hey, yo!” Eric asked, “Are you the wizard that attacked our Master at the Sky Temple three nights ago?”
“Oh my,” Quill said putting his hand over his face, “Idiot! Well, I got no choice, so I guess I will join in on the fight if it happens.”
Quill jumped down from the ceiling of the temple and stood right next to Eric smiling with confidence.
“Oh, the 2 apprentices of Master Andy, yes, I am the one you are looking for. The man spoke smiling devilishly. “You have come to take vengeance?”
“No, we have come to stop you from attacking random people and attempting to take over the world.” Quill shouted in battle stance.
“Yeah!” Eric shouted jumping into battle stance as well, “What he said!”
The man stood up and look at them, his eyes were glowing with red.
“Then, lets get this over with puny wizards.” he said calmly.
Quill jumped and waved his wand into the air casting a spell with the mark of fire.
“Fire spell! Phoenix, attack!”
A Phoenix appeared from the ground and shot a blast of fire with a temperature of over two hundred degrees fahrenheit.
The man put his hands up and absorbed the blast into his hands.
“What the heck!” Eric shouted, “How?”
“Must be a secret technique or ability?” Quill wondered.
“Or, it is just me! The man shouted, “Summoning, Fire from above!”
Suddenly Quill and Eric got blinded by an intense bright light, all they could see was a mouse with goggles riding a giant red bug then more appeared but one of them was holding a big bomb. Then the bugs threw the bomb at Quill and Eric.
“BOOM!”
Quill and Eric’s skin were scorched.
“Ugh, Ah!” They both shouted, “It hurts so much!”
“That should teach you fire wizards!” The man shouted, I am the Sorcerer of the Desert, I know all the element spells!”
Quill and Eric quickly stood up.
“Our training won’t be for nothing!” Eric shouted. “Combo move Quill?”
“What! But we only performed that trick once, plus remember what Master Andy said?” Quill replied, “It has a ninety percent chance of instant death to the caster!”
“Well, it is worth a try!” Eric shouted.
“Fools! There is no point in trying! Give up!” The Sorcerer shouted, “This spell shall burn you to bits and has no escape!”
“Mega Summoning! Sun Serpent!”
Suddenly a portal appeared out of nowhere and a giant flying red serpent appeared out of it. Designs covered the serpents face as the feathers and fur blew in the breeze. The Sun Serpent then blew out a giant blast of fire that whooped the Phoenix’s fire, the temperature of the fire was over eighty thousand degrees fahrenheit.
Quill and Eric hit each others wands against each other as sparks of black lightning appeared around their wands. Eric smiled.
“Combo Shadow Spell! Call of Khrulhu!”
Eric jumped into a different suit and put on black sunglasses. Suddenly a black portal appeared from the ground releasing a giant stone octopus.
Then it came to life and absorbed the fire blast into it’s tentacles and shot a blast of shadow magic back at the Sun Serpent.
“Huh! Not possible! The Sorcerer shouted as the Sun Serpent began to fall on top of him,“The Magic scroll for that has been lost for centuries!” How?” The Sun Serpent fell on him and exploded into flames and ashes.
“Good thing we grabbed those scrolls Master Andy told us to grab!” Eric shouted with glee, “I can’t believe we just saved the world from that creepy guy, what’s his name again?
“The Sorcerer of The Desert, duh?” Quill informed Eric.
“Lets head back quickly to check if Master Andy is not under paralysis!” Eric shouted jumping up and down.
“Hopefully.” Quill sighed.
“Magic spell!” Teleportation!”
Quill and Eric teleported back to the temple and saw Master Andy had already built back the Sky Temple. Quill and Eric were very confused how’d he done it so fast!
“Master Andy”, Quill shouted with a little tear drop coming out of his eye, “How’d you rebuild the temple so fast?!?!”
“Obvious, isn’t it?, Master Andy said smiling, The Rejuvenation Spell. And so it seems you stopped the Sorcerer when he was just about ready to cast a spell on the world, heh! What spell did you use anyway to defeat him?
“The combo spell, duh?” Eric shouted with a big smile on his face. “That weird Call of Khrulhu?”
“Oh, so you took the risk!” Master Andy chuckled, “You could have died ya know!”
“Yeah!” Quill agreed looking over at Eric.
“Well, we gotta see what your next quest is now, if there is ever gonna be anymore.”
“Hopefully not!” Quill and Eric shouted at the same time as Master Andy smiled.
