Etienne Brule he came in 16201 . In 1802 every part of Michigan was attached to the territory of Indiana until 1805 when the territory of Michigan was established . In my opinion the most interesting history fact is in 1629 - 1940 - the Great Depression Michigan was most severely effected and in 1805 the opening of the Erie canal happend which connects with the Great lakes and Hudson river .
