Consistency is key and the Pernil Sandwich might as well open some doors. The shredded roast pork was everywhere inside this sandwich and the other ingredients seemed to follow suit. In terms of taste, the sandwich was not really lacking. While some were not fans of the sweet plantains in the sandwich, a question of why unconventional items like plantains are not put in sandwiches was still pondered upon by some. The reason for this Is just how well everything, put together, tasted. In terms of it' structure, the shorter distance to the restaurant could have been a factor as to why this sandwich also held up till the end.
Overall, the Pernil Sandwich performed well with a 4.1 rating. And with the unconventional presence of the plantain, it would be great to see other sandwich makers take that route and surprise us with cohesive, well-tasting unconventional sandwiches.
