Overview

Additive manufacturing or 3D printing is becoming more prevalent and is used for an ever-expanding range of uses. This project is designed to introduce students to CAD software and the 3D printing process. Students will follow the Engineering Design Process to create a spinning top that meets design criteria and is within given constraints. Students will be introduced to engineering notebooks, where they will be completing the majority of the work for this project.
