Clicks shouldn't be subverted...

Commentary

To subvert, in the context of tropes, is simply put to make at least part of the audience expect a trope to be used (or think it already has been, in some cases), but then it isn't (wasn't) after all. TVTropes explains in more detail.(TVTropes link, obviously; click at own risk.)

I'm not sure if this actually counts as a subversion of the mentioned trope,(TVTropes link, click at own risk. Yes, I'm going to repeat that for every single TVT link I post.) because the examples (at the moment; it's going to change soon) have no mention of subverted tropes despite plenty of examples with (only) a couple of lines. On the other hand, all of those are in media where an episode is much longer than a str'p. On the third hand, this str'p might be too short to properly build up the expectation required for it to count, especially since the speech bubble kind of stands out at first glance.

The title of this str'p was a bit tricky to come up with. Luckily bad puns are a useful tool in such cases...

I'm still getting practically no feedback at all. Come on, I'm sure some of you have something to say? Well, if you do, I would really appreciate it if you contacted me and/or tried out the new comment board! If you don't, feel free to do that anyway. :p
