Commentary

(I'm writing this yesterday. Yeah, that makes sense...)

Lampshade hanging, or simply lampshading, is a term for when something or someone in a narrative points out the use of a trope (narrative tool). David Morgan-Mar of Irregular Webcomic has a good four-panel explanation/example here. Alternatively, it's a very common term on TVTropes, explained here.(TVTropes link, click at own risk)

"Semi-frequent", while better than the "frequent" in the original script, might still be an exaggeration, though. I lampshade tropes a lot less frequently than I would expect myself to.

Remember, I'm doing a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule this week to celebrate New Year's and my birthday, so come back on Wednesday for the New Year's Special! :)
