You forgot about the hole, didn't you? You did. You forgot about the hole. Or maybe you just assumed it was another sign of the lack of a proper continuity in Com'c. Either way, the hole is now angry at you. Great job, you angered the hole. Not that it matters much, since a) it's about to get fixed, and b) holes in walls generally don't have sufficient limbs to hurt you. A hole with limbs... maybe I should try drawing that at some point.

Victor not noticing the hole before now is definitely in character for him. He isn't the most observant person, although that's absolutely not to say he is stupid. A slightly more interesting question is why nobody else has noticed the hole or at least why nobody has told Victor about it if they did. However, there are two possible counter-arguments to this:

  1. We don't know where the hole is. It might be in a hard-to-spot location.

  2. This is Com'c. Odd stuff happens; it's normal. Logic doesn't always have to apply here.

  3. Hamsters did it.

I lean towards number three of the two counter-arguments.
