- Leonard's first appearance

- Marc's suspicions

- The beanstalk storyline

Did you see this coming? Because if you did, you might have figured something out about the sense of humor that drives Com'c. Anyway, this twist has been planned since the beanstalk storyline, and is one of those threads I wanted to wait some time before picking back up.

I think you can thank and/or blame John Lennon for the name Leonard Blague. I didn't actively name him after John Lennon, but that name is probably part of why I think "John and Lenny" sounds good. (If I had to name twins in real life, I'd go for two names that sound good together when phrased like that.)

I meant to add a thought bubble in panel two saying "Ow. I need to get a new bed." or something similar. However, I forgot about it until very late into the str'p making, and if I hadn't, I would still end up sacrificing it for panel space. Panel two is crowded as it is.

And while we're on the topic of Marc's sleep: Of course he sleep-hums.

Technical stuff

The most time-consuming parts of the making of this str'p were the shading of panels 1 and 3, and the background of panel 3, which looks like this when unobstructed:

At least I was able to reuse the night sky from the Beak by night. Oh, and this time, the final star of one of the constellations is exposed!

Speaking of reusing: While it's simple enough that I could've just made a new one, Marc's pillow is a reuse of John's pillow. I originally intended to use the same kind of darkness shading as in the str'p that's from, but then I remembered I had developed a better method at the end of the beanstalk storyline.

John and Lenny are shaded a bit lighter than everything else in the dark panels. This is so they'll stand out a bit more against the background. I also imagine there is a faint light source present next to the rooftop exit, explaining why they're more lit.
