Instructions:

1. Use the planning slides to plan for your writing.

3. Write your recount on the writing doc.

4. Put your writing on your blog alongside a photo from the day.

Creating a narrative for our art

Walt: be purposeful in our writing to engage our audience: by varying the types/lengths of sentences and using a range of interesting vocabulary and descriptive language.

Instructions:

1. Write a narrative text based on your own comic art action scene or animation. You can choose!

2. Use the planning slides to plan for your writing.

3. Write your narrative on the writing doc.

4. Put your writing on your blog alongside your animation or a photo of your artwork.

Real Life Heroes

Walt: explain why someone may be considered a hero in real life.

Walt: organise related ideas into paragraphs and link them together.

Instructions:

1. Choose one of the real life heroes. Your task is going to be to explain how this person/ these people are heroes.

2. Make a copy of this planning and writing doc.

3. Using this doc, plan for your writing. You are going to create a piece of writing with an introduction, 2-3 paragraphs, and a conclusion.

4. Share your writing on your blog with an explanation of the task, what you found challenging, and what you enjoyed.

Instructions:

This week we are creating a piece of narrative writing about a comic book hero!

You are to use the picture on the right as your story starter or even your story finisher.

Not sure what this means? Well, the picture could depict what is happening in the beginning of your story. You would describe the events from the picture then tell your audience what happens next.

Or if you’re using the picture as your story ending, what are the

events that led to this action packed scene?
