This week we are going to do things a little bit different. By 9:30am on Monday morning you will know what that means.

Your task is to write about the experience you had this morning. But your focus this week on writing a few sentences which are detailed and interesting. Yet also you must group these ideas into paragraphs. The writing and planning doc will help you!

1. Click on the WALT above and as a class we will write down our solution to how we are going to learn this.

2.. Make a copy of the doc, Carrots! and follow your teacher instructions to complete it. Add a photo to each writing section

3. Copy each section of you writing to your blog.

Then add to your blog and our blog log!

Paul Martin Visit

Instructions:

This week we are going to practice taking a simple boring sentences and adding in detail to make it more interesting.

2. Make a copy of the presentation, Make it Interesting! Follow your teacher's instructions to complete each sentence to make it more interesting.

3. Embed the presentation on your blog and then add it to our blog log!

Will He Save Her?

Walt: write a descriptive narrative (paints a picture in the reader's mind)

Instructions:

This week we are creating a piece of narrative writing about a comic book hero!

You task is to use the picture on the right as your story starter or even your story finisher. This means the picture could show what is happening in the beginning of your story. You would describe the events from the picture then tell your audience what happens next. Or if you’re using the picture as your story ending, what are the events that happened before this picture?

Instructions:

Bear Bax is back!

You are needed! The Teacher Avengers need your help. Bear Baxendine has been spotting in GI and we know he will be back here soon! We need you to create your own superhero to help the Teacher Avengers defeat the evil Bear Bax!!

So what will your superhero look like? What do the do? How did they get their superpowers? When describing your superhero use lots of juicy words to give our readers a good image of your superhero.

Superheros! What do they look like? What do the do? This week we are going to write character descriptions of superheros. But we are going to use lots of juicy words to give our readers a good image of our superhero.

Superhero Speech Marks

Walt: use speech marks correctly.

Instructions:

This week we are going to go on a few missions. Our main mission is to learn how to use speech marks correctly within our writing.

1. Click on the WALT above and as a class we will write down our solution to how we are going to learn this.

2. Use the washing lines in the class to practice making correct sentences that use speech marks.
