Year 5/6 Camp

Walt: Make Connections across a range of texts.

Instructions:

1. Use the school blog page to help you locate blogs from year 5/6 students who went to camp this year.

2. Choose one student from Classes (6-10) and read their blog post from last week at camp. Be sure that no one else has left that student a comment yet!

3. After reading their post, leave them a "quality" blog comment as discussed in class.

4. Then, use this doc to help you record the blogs you have read.

5. Post your own blog comment as discussed on the doc above.

No More Warts

Walt: Identify and Summarise Main Ideas.

Instructions:

1. Everyday this week, read a story from your group book box.

2. Read "No More Warts" (Pgs 11- 15) with Mrs. Moala.

3. Complete No More Warts Remedy Chart

4. Listen to "No More Warts"

5. Discuss Rhyming Words on our Word Wall. Using Google Drawing, write your own remedy poem like the one in the story and draw a picture to go with it.

6. Post the Warts Remedy Chart and your Google Draw onto your Blog as one post.

7. Read "Wart FAQ" (Pg 16-17) and write 4-6 sentences telling your Blog readers what you think is the best way to get rid of warts and why. Post your advice at the bottom of your "No More Warts" Post.

Spots the Barncat & The Meerkats

Instructions:

1. Everyday this week, read a story from your group book box.

2. As a group, we will read and discuss "The Storm" from last week.

3. After meeting with Mrs. Moala, complete Spots the Barncat presentation and post on your blog by WEDNESDAY.

4. Then, complete The Meerkats presentation and post on your blog by FRIDAY.
