There should be age separated skate parks
by Xavier Kuth
Every week over one thousand kids are getting hurt at skate parks because of their age. I know it doesn't make sense does it? I believe that we should have age separated skate parks for the ages 0-10, 11-14 and 15 plus. This will lead to less injuries and there won't be older people ruining their experience.
I believe that with the change of having age separated skate parks, users will have a safer, better and more fun experience. There will be much more room for the little kids to ride around with all the older people gone.
By the time you are ten you won't need as much supervision but you will need more room to ride around. At the 11-14 skate park, there will be bigger ramps, steeper jumps and more room to do tricks. At this park there will be a few volunteers who will help, but not as many as the 0 -11 park. This will lead to more visitors who feel safer and more comfortable.
The benefits of having a 15 plus skate park are that they will have the biggest ramps, steepest bowls and much more space for themselves. There’s no supervision needed which means that volunteers don’t need to be found for the skate park to operate. The shops close to the skate park will also get more customers because the users will need to get a drink and a snack. These users will most likely have jobs and more money to pay for what they buy.
In conclusion of what I have stated, if we have age separated skate parks, this will lead to less injuries, more visitors and it can benefit the community. You need to make this happen for the sake of the people in your community.
