James: Ow! What was that?

Grace: oops sorry could I have my ba-

James: oh, hi sorry heres you ball ba- actually, I smell hotdogs, can I please have some?

Grace: oh umm uhh, sorry i can’t talk to outsiders but what do you need and where are your parents and where are your siblings.

James: oh, well I just need food and money and my dad got hit by a semi truck and I have no siblings and my mum is trying to get me more food and money.

Grace: ohmygod, I can’t believe it, Is that true, I feel so sorry for you, I hope a couple of partially burnt hotdogs will make up for it since I don’t have any money to give you and we’re almost out of hotdogs, I hope this makes you feel better.

James: Out of any type of hotdogs I will accept any in a pleasureful manner, thank you and who are ‘the elders’ you keep talking about?

Grace: oh uh, the elders are people in our church tha-

James: OH! That's why you couldn't talk to me, sorry, I should probably go now

Grace: oh no no no, it’s not like that at all, they think everybody that isn't us is infected with demons and stuff like that, they control the church and are strict and just won’t hear me out or my… dad… sorry again.

James: oh it’s okay, what’s not okay was your mum's hair just now catching on fire, oh wait, nevermind, your dads got it, but can I have those hotdogs, please.

Grace oh yeah, I forgot because I was panicking about mum but anyways, yeah, now can I please have my ball back.

James obviously yes, here is your ball and I just can’t stop thinking about your conversation. You should go show everybody your project and will you be my first ever friend?

Grace: ohmygod, I completely forgot, yes and again yes to be your friend, I hope we run into each other again soon, bye.

James walking away from the church: bye... friend.

AAAGH! OH NO, I'M LATE, I FORGOT TO SET MY ALARM CLOCK, I AM GONNA BE LATE TO SCHOO-oooh yeah! School no longer exists on Mondays. OH YEAH!

Hello fellow classmates. My name is 'THE BOSS' and I am here to talk about how many days extra I have stayed at school and how a four day school week is better for the school and us students!

My first argument is imagining EVERY weekend being a long weekend! camping, fishing, extra time on video games, more time with friends and family, the possibilities are endless. Sounds like a dream doesn't it? Well for about 1,600 schools in America this dream is their reality. It is scientifically proven that with a 4 day school week it makes the average child's grades higher because in 2021 Emily Morton, a researcher at NWEA, a nonprofit assessment company has studied four-day school weeks around the country. She has observed crazy high approval ratings for this policy with Eighty-five percent of parents and, perhaps unsurprisingly, 95 percent of kids saying they would choose to stay on a four-day school week. Morton has also observed that students with a 5 day school week have lower grades. The number of fifth grade students who attend 4 days a week´s proficiency in math rose by more than 7 percent and in reading by nearly 4 percent. So it's really a no-brainer that with these percentages of growth our school will be much better with a 4 day school week.

My second argument is that if we are going to miss out on monday, we are going to have to make up for it. So our school days will have 2 extra hours buttt with more time in class we'll have to have more break time. So technically speaking we have much longer days and fortunately less homework comes because we do it in the newly added hours we have in school so it's a win-win situation. With no more homework comes more family time or free time. And as for the schools, they won't have tired students from doing homework at night and as a result our child's grades will get so much better. Basically, we have more planned out family time or free time so we have less work to worry about so we can focus on our little amounts of work at home and stress less about our outside life while inside school!

My final argument is that if our school achieves higher grades because of this; our school will gain a better reputation. more families would want to send their kids here which would result in a financially better school. So when we have our lunch orders or sausage sizzles or excursions the kids have to pay up the money for what they want which gives the school more money. This opens up more opportunities for our students and better resources for teachers to use and the possibilities are endless… almost.

In concusion I have a good feeling that if we do this; our Australian school system won´t be at its peak performance because I know theres more we can add to make it better and therefore making our local Aussies proud of their child's gained intelligence!
