Reduce the Dangers of Horse Racing!
By Asher Crowley
On Melbourn Cup,I look around and all I see is excited and happy faces. I hear the gunshot and suddenly the race has started. But something traumatic happens, as one of the horses falls and slams onto the ground. The rider is face first in the dirt and the horse lays there in agony as veiwers stand shellshocked. This is just one excample of what could happen at a horse race, as well as the risk of problems in your family and the enviourment.
Holocaust Piece

I hear my heart thump in my ears. I feel like I could cry more tears than drops of water in the ocean. But I don’t. I just keep running. You don’t have time to stop and cry when you are in the middle of the Holocaust. A blade of sunlight pierces into my eyes like a knife. I squint. The Nazis are here. I’ve been running for hours. I keep going but I fear the worst. I hear gunshots. Again and again. Maybe the Nazis were hunting rabbits? Maybe not. But I don’t let it bring me down. It’s not every day you’re being chased by Nazis but I have hope that I will survive. Now I just need to believe that hope is enough…
Even though I found a place behind a bush that I can use to keep myself safe, I still feel an overwhelming feeling rise up. I can't help but cry. A single tear rolls down my cheek and as I feel a tap on my shoulder, it seems like it's over.
