Ew! This.. Is.. Disgusting! I would do anything to get out of here. I thought to myself. This is really loud and it stinks, please god, get me out of here!
“Would anyone like to jump out with us?” a young boy asked.
“I will!” I nominated, “I’d do anything to get out of this train!”
“I couldn’t agree any less,” added a young looking girl next to the boy.
“And what is your name?” I asked the boy.
“My name is Felix,” he replied. “What about your name?”
“Oh, I’m Sapling,”I said, “And what about you small child?”
“My name is Zelda! Don’t you know anything? Don’t call me that!” Zelda snapped.
“Ooh, a feisty one,” I added, “ What is yours?”
“I-I’m Chaya,” she said in a very small voice.
“Alright everyone, On the count of three we jump,” Felix said. “3…2…1… JUMP!”
We all jumped, I enjoyed the smell of fresh air as I hadn’t smelt it in hours!
“Where is Chaya?” I noticed she wasn’t with us.
“Noo!” Felix yelped. There was a puddle of blood surrounding Chayas body.
“Chaya’s been SHOT!” added Felix.
“Of course she is, don’t you know anything?” Zelda butted in. I was the only one not crying. I was still sad but I don’t cry often. Like, I just met a really nice girl and then she dies on me! How rude. Later I learnt that Chaya’s arm was infected and she was bound to die anyway. I mean, someone was gonna die and Chaya would’ve been the best to die as she was gonna die anyway. She would’ve ended up dying before us anyway.
They need a home!
Imagine, an itty bitty puppy. This little puppy had a very happy little life so far, but that could all change…It did. The owners grew sick and tired of this puppy’s chaotic energy. He woke up the next day in a completely different place. He was in the shelter. Days passed and no one wanted to adopt him. This can happen very often on a daily basis. You Reader, can make a change and stop this from happening, The way to stop it, Adopt more from the shelters. The new pet won’t let you regret it. (Ok, maybe it might, but just a tiny bit.) If you live in Victoria, the most popular is AAPS.
Every year 6.5 Million animals enter the shelter, and only 4.1 million people visit the shelter every year. You’d be surprised by the amount that people buy in a shelter every year. 920,000! That’s not even 1 per visitor! We need to adopt A LOT more from shelters. Now listen, I get that the animals cost a lot, but would it kill you to adopt one singular animal? Every day 47 animals die in a shelter. Now, you’re probably saying ‘That’s not a lot of animals that are dying.’ Exactly. There is so much animals that soon there will be millions of shelters in one country! If we don’t act fast, earth will be overrun by shelters. Animals are a crucial part of our lives, and if they die, we’ll die too.
Adopting one, maybe two or more pets can improve your feelings and your mental health. You will never be lonely again! Once you adopt your new pet/pets you will grow a BIG connection. This connection is so strong it will stay forever. Adopting these animals won’t only make you happier, it’ll make the animals happier too. Most of these animals in the shelter have been returned from other owners. Because of this, they are house-trained. They will know what to and what not to do in your house. They’ll love you forever and ever! You will never be lonely ever again. It’s your choice on how many animals you adopt so you can adopt 1, 2, 3 or even more! You will never ever feel lonely again!
Adopting a few animals won’t only make you feel happy, it’ll make the animal/animals happy too. Most of these poor animals in the shelters, have been returned. Their previous owner chose to return them back to the shelters. Like the puppy at the start of the intro. Because of them being returned, they won’t feel comfortable with the humans. Spend time with them so they can gain confidence before adopting. That way you will let them get to know you. I’m not saying you have to adopt an animal, just that if you have the opportunity to, do it! Support the shelters. In Victoria the most popular shelter is AAPS. Adopting these animals will make you feel a whole lot happier!
In conclusion, you should 100% adopt from shelters. It’ll boost the animals confidence and make them feel more comfortable with the fellow humans. Your mental health will thank you as well. The more you adopt the less shelters will be in the world(It’ll make the world a whole lot better). If you’re living in Victoria, AAPS is the most popular shelter. Please help these animals and give them a nice friendly home.🐕🐒🐸🫠
