"Dinner Baileigh!" she shuts off her phone and wipes her face "sorry mum I'm going out for dinner. She smells the food, it makes her hungry but she shuts the door and walks away she walks around for a bit then she walks back home. "How was dinner?" Great. This is how negative body image can effect others.  

Modeling industries show models above average height and thinner than usual this can make young kids unhappy with themselves and can lead to eating disorders. Young kids around Australia are dissatisfied with their bodies Teen girls- 73% Teen boys- 69% young girls-57% young boys- 49% so many kids in Australia struggle with body image and it has to stop.

This isn't just about body image this is about the age group kids from the age of 6 and up are struggling with this issue. Only about 70% of kids recover and that is only with therapy, without therapy only about 35%, this is bad. most of this comes from social media most Aussie kids have Tik Tok, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram ect. this can make them compare themselves to that perfect image on their screen

It's not just seeing photos online or watching models its also words, words are a huge part of body image has your family ever made a joke along the lines of...  you're eating a lot! well if you remember that just proves my point words like that don't just disappear the stick with you forever. Think before you speak you never know what someone is going through.

Be kind to others and think before you speak. do it for the kids who look up to you.
