Imagine walking into school on a regular day and someone barges in with a gun they start shooting all your friends and class mates this is what happened to mia page-tretta shot in the stomache and her best friend killed beside her. gun violence in america needs to change not tommorow NOW!!!
Did you know gun violence is estimated the american economy 229 billion dollars per year can you believe that how barbaring! How can they and were do they get that money from, clearly not by selling their guns! Why does america have to be the odd one out? Do they think they're being unique? Because NO they,re costing LIVES!!! 321 a day to be excact that's basically our whole school getting killed per day.
America, 13,959 deaths recorded so far this year, and this is only in the space of four months. America thinks they're cool America thinks they're unique America thinks they're special.gun laws in america need to change.
After the port arthur shooting all states in Australia decided to have the same gun laws. Before they changed the laws their was 13 mass shootings were after their was none because of the change of gun laws. Now if you have a gun licence you need a reasonable reason to keep it ,like living on a farm and keeping your animals safe, and now it is much harder to be able to have a licenced gun than what it used to be.
We need to keep kids and adults safe, just like innocent Mia Page-Tretta. It is clear that the current gun laws aren't protecting America. They are costing them money, killing thousands of people and could be so much safer just like Australia. If we don't change gun laws today, the world won't be safe for tomorrow. For the adults , for the children, for the future.
This is my story based on the book Grace by Morris Gleitzman.
Here is the link to the first chapter of Grace if you want to read more.
I kicked the footy to my sister. She misses the mark and no it went over the fence but not any fence, the religious neighbors fence.they're not that bad but I heard that they’re having a BBQ and they have olders or something there. I see a girl she pickles up our ball at first I think she’s stealing it but then I’m too worried about her being a liggie and I forget about it by the way liggies is basically the cheese touch or cooties but for when religious people touch your things like your footy lunch box etc.
Anyways they probably call us church haters or something.
I get worried my sister saige is starting to talk to the girl and asks for our ball back
“Here you go” say the girl
I have a hard look at the ball before I let her pass it back
“Thanks” I say my voice clearly quivering with fear
A man starts yelling at her to get away from us
She doesn’t say anything but I can see the fire in her eyes that she does not want to obey him.
She stares at me and waves and faintly says “goodbye” waving her small arm at us.
I say “thanks mate”
I can see the confusion in her face but she winks at me and runs back to a man wearing a a\c\d\c t-shirt and starts talking to him
I ask saige “what just happened”
She replies “marty i’m sorry but I don’t know”
