Wilton High School student Andrei Robles (Class of 2027) sits down for an exclusive interview with WHS teacher and acclaimed local musician Mr. Joe Gephart, the dynamic lead vocalist of the band NonGrata.
During Mrs. Andrea LaPage's time at Bayer Chemical Plant she primarily worked in the Environmental Lab. The Environmental Lab is responsible for tracking the waste treatment process at Bayer. This is to ensure that dangerous chemicals are not being dumped into Iowa's rivers. Her work in the lab focused on testing Nitrates and Nitrites in water. This work will assist Bayer in integrating these tests on a day-to-day basis.
“I felt like I was in charge of the work that I was doing and I felt that I was trusted with that work as well. They treated me like an equal there. I also feel like I am doing good work when I am there. There is nothing more important for Iowa right now than water quality and doing that work for a company that directly affects Iowa makes me feel like I'm helping out.” -- Andrea LaPage, Science Teacher at Wilton CSD
