December NHS Blood Drive
December NHS Blood Drive
The Wilton High School National Honor Society (NHS) is looking for donors this year for the annual blood drive. The blood drive has always been important at Wilton, but this year the NHS is hoping to reach numbers never reached before. Last year Wilton had one of the biggest years with 45 donors, which sets the bar high this year. But, this community is capable of producing better numbers than last year.
The Wilton NHS consists of a great group of kids who do alot for the community. Last year they helped run the blood drive and then helped with the Day of Caring. They are kids who want to make an impact in the community and everyone around them. This year, as they are getting prepped to run the blood drive again, they are hoping to make an even bigger difference.
Many people ask what are some benefits of donating blood. The biggest reason is saving somone's life. Giving up only one hour of the day to donate blood gives those people in need more days to live. One pint of blood can help up to three people. Help make a difference in the world by donating.
Many people are hesitant to donate blood because they are nervous and they don't like needles. But with our NHS students by your side, they will make sure the donating process goes smoothly and stress free.
Please consider donating. If you have any questions or you want to get signed up, please call the Wilton High School at 563-732-2629.
Thank you!
