Senior Year

The school year is coming to an end. Seniors are starting to settle down and decide what they want to do with their future. Each person's experience and perspective matters as they make the next couple of steps towards their future and what they are going to do after high school.

How do you think this year has changed you as a person?

Ashley Swift: I think this year has shown me more responsibilities and how to deal with them;

Zoey Liles: I think I have grown and become more responsible with paying bills and saving money.

What are you excited or nervous for in the future after high school?

Swift: I am excited to meet new people but nervous to leave everyone I already know.

Liles: I'm excited that I can work more but nervous at the same time that I can work more than I do now.

What are you going to miss the most?

Swift: What I am going to miss the most is seeing my friends every day and playing basketball for this school.

Liles: I'm going to miss having fewer responsibilities and having to work less.

This year has shown and taught some high schoolers responsibilities. The responsibilities that most of our high schoolers are learning are going to help them when they go to college and on their own for the most part.

While graduation is coming up shortly, people are having mixed feelings. Some are excited they get to meet new people and experience new things, and other people are excited they get to work more.

Advice to Underclassmen:

“Don’t wait until the last minute to do your homework because those due dates are going to come up fast, if you have the time to do your homework, do it then.” - Swift.

“Don’t hate high school; make the best out of it while you can because it will go by very fast.” - Liles
