Wilton Post Prom Activities
On April 12th, Wilton students attended prom. The dance was held at 7 PM, and after the dance, the post-prom started at 11 PM. The parents of the Junior Class put together a post-prom with many activities, games, and prizes. There was even an Arty’s truck outside that students could get food from.
The students received gift cards when they arrived from various places. Ashley got a gift card to Arty’s, Sammi got a gift card to Yogis, and Jessie got a gift card to Fire Nutrition. There was a hypnotist show where students volunteered to get hypnotized on stage. There were many funny moments in the show when the students were acting like they were in an airplane, acting out their favorite activity, and reacting to emotional movies. The students who participated barely remember the experience and do not know what they did on stage. Kaydence Boorn, who got hypnotized, said, “It felt surreal, and it was a fun experience.”
There were also many activities in both gyms that students got to play. In the high school gym, there was a Hungry Hippo game, bags, and Spikeball. In the junior high gym, there was archery, sumo wrestling, basketball, and a photobooth for students to take pictures.
At the end of the post-prom, prizes were given to juniors and seniors. These prizes included TVs, iPads, laptops, refrigerators, gift certificates, room decor, a canoe, and more. Every junior and senior won at least one prize, and then a final prize of money was awarded to one senior and one junior. Overall, post-prom was a great experience and added to the fun of prom.
