Application Day
On October 8th, the Senior class of 2025 and the Junior class of 2026, partook in Application Day. You may ask, what is Application Day? Well, this day is one that many colleges allow free applications. So on this day, Seniors apply to many different colleges in hopes to get accepted into one if not a couple.
Application Day was hosted by the Muscatine Community College staff Advisor Sara Schnepper. Schnepper is the MCC advisor that assists all Senior and Junior students with their MCC classes, as well as helps students figure out what they want to do in the future. Schnepper is excellent at explaining how to start the application process as well as what to do next.
Schnepper was accompanied by Seniors Amber Oien and Jacquenline Grotzky. Oien and Grotzky helped assist the Seniors and Juniors with the application process. Schnepper has taken Oien and Grotzky under her wing so they are able to help other students and friends with anything about MCC or the college application process.
Application Day was held in the Wilton High School Media Center. Tables were covered with snacks, deserts, and pennants from different colleges. The surrounding tables were filled all day long with Seniors and Juniors going through the application process.
In the photos, you can see multiple students focusing on completing the process that will determine the next four years of their lives! After the applications were completed, the Seniors took a picture with their coordinating pennants. Those pictures were posted in the school to show the community where our 2025 Seniors hope to go in the next steps of their lives!
