I am a Chemistry major here at Wellesley but I also love visual art, curation, and using my hands. I took my very first and only art department class this semester because of my love for building and watching the physical form take place. I’ve dug deeper into this creative part of myself.

Pear Afloat

I made this striped pear along with this sailboat. For this project, the fruit came first and while painting, I decided to go with this bold orange and purple awning stripe. I wanted to play with the stripes on the pear when it came to the sculpture, and chose to make the base of multiple little 1x1 pieces of wood. I like the whimsical sailor feeling it gives.
