My wooden construction for Sculpture I (ARTS 207) centers around the plaster fruit I completed for the class. Clementines were chosen to represent the Chinese New Year because it was believed they looked like the sun. They represent luck and abundance in the new year. When brought to the US, they were sometimes transported in orange train cars to announce that they had arrived for the Christmas holiday. We could all use a delivery of sunshine.

This video is the best approximation of my neurological visual impairment that I can create with my limited After Effects skills. It is one of my many invisible disabilities. Just because I don't wear glasses or use a cane, that doesn't mean it's not there. I cannot truly make the invisible visible, but by showing what I see, I can ask you to wonder about what you cannot.

A fake band name, created by friends who sieved dirt in an Environmental Science lab for hours at time in the spring of 2021. I created art for this band, for all who love and appreciate soil.
