Architecture major
I have always been passionate about the arts and am so thankful for the opportunity to be included in this year's senior show. I am an architecture major, and have taken many studio art classes at Wellesley. I am a very process driven artist, with the act of making art often taking precedence over the concept. For me, the process of creating art is about capturing a feeling that can only be truly distilled into a tangible concept after the piece is finished. My art is concerned with capturing emotion in a physical object.

Jewett Sculpture Court and Jewett Hallway Galleries
These three drawings, from my Advanced Drawing class, were made for separate projects, but each plays with ideas of representation and abstraction, particularly using high contrast to do so.

This piece, from my Advanced Painting class, was an exercise in capturing materiality, but was also a personal exercise in capturing color and emotion.
