In my artistic pursuits, I explore themes that resonate deeply with me and reflect the complexities of human life. Through documentary photography and non-narrative film, I delve into nostalgia, family dynamics, cultural heritage, and global realities. Additionally, I draw from human emotions, experiences of alienation, and the cyclical nature of reproduction. Alongside, I am intrigued by the natural world's beauty, which serves as both inspiration and metaphor for life's transient nature. My aim is to evoke empathy, inspire introspection, and celebrate the diverse fabric of human existence.

My thesis project dives into themes of memory, rediscovery, alienation, and adaptation in the grand umbrella of the immigrant experience. It combines imagery with sensorial experiences to investigate the emotional turmoil of not being where you thought you were supposed to be. The Venezuelan experience exemplifies a complex duality, characterized by an ability to navigate hardship and resilience simultaneously, both within the country and abroad. This project aimed to capture this multifaceted identity by exploring themes of tradition, cultural reproduction, and the rediscovery of a cherished past. The exploration extends to the critical role of community spaces and the profound influence of the natural world on Venezuelan culture, the immigrant experience today and in the past, historical traditions, and more.
