“Senior Spotlight - Madi Stolarik”
Madi Stolarik is a senior at Holly Springs High, having attended Holly Springs High all four years. She has participated in the Holly Springs Dance Program each year, performing in/for The Nutcracker, pep rallies, and occasional basketball game performances. Aside from her participation in the dance program, she is also a member of the National Honor Society and the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. She is determined and dedicated to her academics and serving the community. Madi is also a member of the Hawk Headlines and has enjoyed getting to interview her peers and serve others through her work. She said, “Despite it initially being outside of my comfort zone, I am happy I joined the newspaper staff and have had a wonderful time getting to provide work for others.”
She enjoyed football season and attending home games because it was so much fun seeing the school community rally together after being virtual for nearly 1.5 years. Madi said, “It was great getting to connect and bond with the entire school body again.” Being able to physically interact with her peers and teachers this year has been one of Madi’s favorite opportunities from her senior year, both academically and socially.
Madi’s future plans involve attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in hopes of majoring in Political Science with a psychology minor. Her hopes are to follow a pre-law track in college.
Madi’s most important piece of advice and guidance for the underclassmen would be to “be present and live each moment. Your high school experience will go by faster than you expect. Despite your excitement for college or any other feelings about school, your senior year will be here before you know it, and hopefully, each of you will feel that you spent each day to your fullest potential and happiness.”
Editor’s note: I personally want to thank Madi for her numerous articles this year for the Hawk Headlines. Her willingness to take on one more thing is appreciated, and I wish her the best of luck as she moves forward into college. Mr. Tuttle
