“How to get back into a routine after the holidays”
By Kailey Plaza
All you can think about are the upcoming holidays, days off from school where you can just sit and worry about nothing. Then, you return from break, and you're thrust back into your school life. It can be difficult to get back into the routine that you once had, especially in the winter.
The colder weather and the dark nights can make you feel unmotivated and unproductive. It can make you fall behind and make completing things feel like a chore. But don’t let your sudden feelings make you fall into an endless slump. Instead, you have to come up with the perfect routine that is suited for your needs.
After the holidays and exams come new classes and a new workload. Start by organizing your life and putting the high-priority tasks at the top of your list. Even checking off one thing is still an accomplishment. You don’t have to immediately dive into certain tasks, but taking small steps towards completing them proves to be effective.
It’s all about finding balance within yourself and within your personal schedule. Write out a loose schedule so that you can complete all the things you need to and still have time left over for yourself. Finding an efficient way to balance things out after break is the perfect way to soar during the second semester.
