“Meet Mr. Herrick”

Mr. Steven Herrick was born in Wisconsin, went to middle school in Montreal, and attended high school in Vermont. He attended Johnston State College for four years to attain a degree in Business Administration.

Steven Herrick is married to Renee Herrick, a teacher at Washington Elementary for the gifted and talented. Herrick has two sons, Andrew (38) and Micheal.

Andrew is a middle school science teacher, and Micheal was recruited as an assistant debate coach for Baylor University. Andrew has one child, Oliver, Herrick’s grandson. Micheal attended Liberty University and won several awards and achievements in debate.

Steven Herrick spent 32 years after college teaching: first at Chelsea high in Vermont and in Green Mountain Tech before transferring to Holly Springs.

Spending 32 years teaching for school children does not mean Steven Herrick lacks hobbies, however. Herrick and his wife have travelled to Italy, Germany, California, and Florida. He loves tennis, with experience in coaching, and is a Canes and Boston Bruins fan.

In his 16th year at HSHS, Steven Herrick has made a name for himself as a reliable, genuine, and sterling member of the HSHS staff.
