Since chapter 511, Hetalia World☆Stars (HWS) has shifted to telling an original, alternate universe story of the Hetalia cast in a world with districts instead of countries, run by gangs who settle their problems with a card game. Himaruya Hidekaz, Hetalia's creator, describes it as a "grungy" and "dirty." While it still includes some real-world trivia, and is largely an allegory for the United Nations, Gangsta tells a story never before seen from the Hetalia series.

I'm VerusMaya II. I decided to start translating the weekly comics out of curiosity for this new direction for the series, and a desire to practice my Japanese. As Hetascanlations, the ones who have translated all previous HWS strips, have fallen almost a year behind, I figured some volunteer translations would be fine until the professionals caught up. After some time, I teamed up with Mona, who so kindly offered to do page cleaning and redrawing.
I do not claim 100% accuracy in my translations. My Japanese is amateur at best; I am still learning. If there are any errors or mistranslations, please do not hesitate to let me know (via Bluesky or Discord). Translation notes are provided with each chapter, ranging from actual notes on the translation to trivia and references.
