AVL-Automatic Vehicle Locate - Supports the management of the HERO vehicle and operations. In additional, this application will work with the Mobile Event Responder Application (MERA) to provide positional data on the Lonestar Map.
MERA-Mobile Event Responder Application - An android application that provides vehicle positional data and allow the HERO Operator to log events. This is an application provided by TxDOT for the HERO Tablets.
Vehicle Manager – Opens the vehicle manager that keeps track of HERO units. See Vehicle Manager section in How-To tab on how to use the Vehicle Manager.
CCTV-Closed Circuit Television - Provides camera control, video switching, device status, blackout camera, video touring, snapshots, and displays an icon on the graphical map interface
Switch Video – Opens up the Switch Video. From there you can view CCTV and select what source you want them to display on. See the CCTV Viewing section in the How-To tab on how to view CCTV using the switch video.
Video On Desktop – a new feature on how to view CCTV. Select the CCTV you want to view, click and hold, and drag into the right portion of the window to view camera. From there, use the sun in the middle of the screen and drag to the direction you want the camera to move. On the bottom, you will see the preset buttons that can also be used to move the camera.
Configuration – Used by management to manage CCTVs – Operators should not have need for this option.
Manage Video Tours – Manages what cameras are to be viewed in what tours.
Manage Monitors – Manages what each monitor can view.
Manage Cameras – Shows information on each camera, and what they can do.
Manage Groups – Manages what cameras are in what group (Group for IH-35 shows all IH-35 cameras.)
Administrator Tools – Used by management ONLY to terminate tours or break connections.

CNA-Contact Notification Application - Supports the sending notifications, managing subscriptions to notifications/alerts, managing contact and groups, configurable delivery methods, manage areas, and notifications, view alert notifications and view plus resend system notifications.
Send Notification – Send an email via Lonestar. Not linked to any specific event.
Manage Contacts and Groups – Manage what contacts belong to what groups for Lonestar Email Groups.

Travel Time Issues
Majority of DMS along IH 35 Corridor are Blank this may be a Travel Time Error if so check the following:
Click on TTA, then Travel Time Status. This will open a window with 3 tabs. Under the Travel Times tab you will see all the links we have built in Lonestar and in the Current Travel Time column you will see the calculated times. If INRIX data is not available for calculation, you will see “Not Available”. That is your indicator that something is wrong with INRIX and a notice should be sent out to SwRI.

First, let your direct supervisor know of the issue. Ask you supervisor if the matter requires SWRI to be notified by phone, or if the issue could be reported directly thru email.
