Roadway Incident Related Responses

Unplanned Lane Blocking  - In the event of an unexpected lane closure on roadway, notify Balfour Beatty, TxDOT/RS&H, RJA. Balfour Beatty to take any possible corrective measures if needed

Road Debris - In the event of debris in roadway, notify Balfour Beatty; Balfour Beatty to take any possible corrective measures to remove or relocate if needed

Weather Related - In the event of winter weather conditions, notify RJA, Balfour Beatty, TxDOT/RS&H; RJA to take corrective measures for winter weather events

Miscellaneous Roadway Incidents - In the event of severe miscellaneous incident on roadway, notify Balfour Beatty, TxDOT/RS&H, RJA. Balfour Beatty to take any possible corrective measures if needed

Hazardous Materials -  In the event of potential hazardous material spill, notify RJA, Balfour Beatty, TxDOT/RS&H; RJA to take corrective measures to remove material if needed

Note: RJA will maintain maintenance of all flyovers and direct connectors

Balfour Beatty Maintenance Limits will be on IH 35 from US 290/SH 71 to Holly Street

The project will add two high-occupancy-vehicle (HOV) managed lanes in both directions along I-35. In addition, the project will reconstruct the Lady Bird Lake bridge, construct a single-point urban interchange (SPUI) at Riverside Drive that will accommodate future Capital Metro light rail routes, add a pedestrian-only bridge at Woodland Avenue, and improve bicycle and pedestrian paths along the corridor.
