This dashboard reports the operation status of traffic signals in Austin, TX. Traffic signals enter flash mode when something is preventing the signal from operating normally. This is typically the result of a power surge, power outage, or damage to signal equipment. A signal may also be intentionally placed into flash mode for maintenance purposes or be scheduled to flash overnight.
This map depicts the location and status of the Austin Transportation and Public Work's traffic cameras, which are used by the Mobility Management Center to monitor and address traffic issues in real time. The camera feeds are not recorded, and they are not used for law enforcement activites.
The map reflects our most current research and is updated on a yearly basis using a Pavement Management Information System (PMIS). The goal of our Street Preventative Maintenance Program is to maintain at least 80 percent of Austin’s streets in fair or better condition.
