Melanie (Johnson) Mojkowski (1979)
Melanie earned twelve letters in high school (four each in swimming, gymnastics and track). She was named most valuable player in all three sports and was also captain in all three sports for two years each. Melanie was the American Legion Most Outstanding Female Athlete in both 1978 and 1979. Melanie qualified for the State Swimming Meet in diving in 1976, 1977 and 1978. She also swam on the medley relay team that went to State in 1977 and 1978. In track, she participated in the State Meet in 1977 and 1978; making a total of five State appearances in swimming/diving and track. Melanie won countless medals in her sports over those four years. She dove for two years at UMD after high school graduation. Melanie had a lengthy coaching career at THHS from 1979-2000 in track, swimming/diving and gymnastics. In each sport, Melanie coached numerous athletes that qualified for State meets.
