Christy (Lind) Voltz (1999)
Christy earned fourteen letters during her outstanding high school years (five in volleyball, five in basketball and four in track). She was a five-year starter in basketball and volleyball and played on Lake Superior Conference Championship teams in basketball (1995) and volleyball (1998). She was captain of the volleyball team that won Section 7AA and the first volleyball team to play in the State Tournament in 1998. Other accomplishments include being All-Conference in volleyball in 1997 and 1998, All-Conference basketball in 1998 and 1999, and volleyball and basketball MVP her senior year. She was also named to the Duluth News-Tribune All-Area team for volleyball in 1998. She scored over 1000 points in her basketball career. Christy attended UMD and was a four-year letter winner in volleyball. Her teams were NSIC championship teams in 1999 and 2002. She was captain of the 2002 Bulldog team and was named NSIC Defensive Specialist of the Year and also was a member of the Daktronics All-Region Second Team. Christy earned a degree in Elementary Education from UMD in 2004.
