Chuck Halsted
While in high school, Chuck excelled in football, which he continued at North Dakota. Chuck was the football coach in Two Harbors for 25 years and compiled an overall record of 175-68-4. This record included twelve conference championships, 5 unbeated regular seasons, and two state tournament teams. Chuck was twice named Region 7 coach of the year and in 1986 he was inducted into the Minnesota Football Coaches Hall of Fame. He was also credited with starting the boys' swim team, which he coached for five years, and while serving as athletic director introduced girls' athletics at THHS. Chuck served as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and administrator during his distinguished career at Two Harbors.
