Spiritual Baseline

The following two paragraphs describe two opposite spiritual states of mind and heart. As you read, identify the description that matches your current spiritual state of heart and mind. 

Loneliness! Don't we all know this dry place well? A place where sheer silence attends to our wounds and absolute emptiness binds our bleeding hearts. A frightening place where Pain meets Sorrow, and together, they bring forth Despair. A place where we are forced to retreat for healing, only to find that our wounds have festered. A place where Loneliness has nested itself deep in our souls, creating a chronically ill state of heart. How so many of us know this place well!

Solitude! How few of us know this place well? A place where sheer silence reigns in quiet contentment and absolute is the serenity, not the emptiness. A blissful place where Joy meets Delight, and together, they bring forth Peace. A wonderful place where the wilderness inside blooms and the dry land flourishes, where the floods of joy spring into fountains of gladness and the gladdened soul soars on wings like the eagles. How very few of us know this blessed place well!

Loneliness is the trauma-imprisoned life, while solitude symbolizes freedom from pain and despair. Moving from pain and misery to healing is the transformational journey of becoming EHAD with Christ. Healing from trauma is a process of alignment of the human body, soul, and spirit with God's initial divine design, which was ordained at the beginning of time (Ephesians 1:4). Do you desire to undergo this marvelous transformation? Do you desire to depart from misery and find peace? Do you desire to encounter and obtain Christ's beauty (Isaiah 61:3)? Then, choose the narrow road of EHAD, becoming ONE with God, being in complete unity with Him.

Prayer

In faith, Lord Jesus, I come before your throne of grace and ask that you guide me on this healing journey. Touch me and heal me. Speak words of healing over me. Send me a blessing of relief. Take the pain away. Heal my heart, restore my dignity, renew my mind, and strengthen my faith. I desire to become EHAD with You, Jesus. I reject my old, corrupt ways of life and choose to be like You.  Transform me into Your likeness, I pray. Amen!
