The Gates of Tengoku set is less than a month away, and we continue to receive art contributions for the set. Today, we are proud to announce that an artist who contributed multiple pieces to the original AEG CCG, has joined the Onyx Lives! gallery of contributing artists: Nathan Arches!
Ill Tides (GoT)
The Eye's Gaze (GoT)
Shosuro Isaki (GoT)
Nathan's work offers us a continuity of character appearance as we use multiple cards to tell the stories of Gates of Tengoku; above you will see some of what we are doing with the resistance group known as the "Tanuki Clan". Those who have seen other people's posts on social media may recognize the figure in the background on The Eye's Gaze, about whom we will say more when we start releasing more story vignettes soon.
Nathan's portfolio can be seen online at his ArtStation page. We are thrilled to have him on board, and give many thanks for his generous contributions of art!
On the Onyx Lives! Project and artwork
We now have over 25% of the Gates of Tengoku set either with art contributed or pledged by artists. As we receive more such contributions, we will continue to update the set, even after public release. If you would like to see the visual uniqueness of the Onyx Lives! Project grow, here are some ways you can help us out:
If you are interested in lending your artistic talents to GoT (or any of our past or future sets), please reach out directly to us via our Discord server, Facebook page, or emails.
If you have artist friends who enjoy the Legend of the Five Rings subject matter and may be interested in contributing to our project, please share our information with them.
If you wish to support your favorite artists or artist friends, professional or otherwise, and you wish to help us continue to make the Onyx and Shattered Empire environment the best it can be, we invite you to commission art from those artists, and allow us to use the commissioned art for our project. As we are strictly avoiding any direct handling of money associated with this project, we cannot commission art directly, but we have already had a few such donated commissions. It is a great way for anyone to help not only us but their own favorites!
