Gates of Tengoku - Announcing a new artist participant and a renewed call for artists

As mentioned in our previous post on the matter, we are interested in having the upcoming Gates of Tengoku (GoT) expansion be a community effort in many ways. To that end, we are pleased to announce that longtime L5R fan artist Bertrand Daine has offered to create some new pieces for GoT, as well as color some of his existing sketches for use on both previous and upcoming cards.

Old-school L5R players who remember the AEG forums may recognize Bertrand as "Utaku Kumanagai", who posted many a humorous card mockup and cartoon in his time. As can be seen from the examples, he has an attractive style and an eye for interesting details.
