    • Why’s TAP Humor important?

TAP Response 00243:

    • Humor, in general, is a very important option in the large set of possible approaches to communication. But it can easily negatively offend some while positively entertaining, and even educating, others. It often grabs the attention better. It can stir emotions. It can place the informational concept in the positive (seek/ good) memory bank vs. the negative (avoid/ bad) memory bank of the mind. TAP Humor is all the positive types of humor and what TAP encourages everyone to attempt to find in their creativity work.

    • What are some examples of TAP Humor?

TAP Response 00244:

    • Imagine all those baby animal photos and videos where some innocent creature does something really funny. Shown to people of all cultures and beliefs there’s almost always a positive emotion sparked within. The act of the animal offends almost no one. Imagine the video of the person walking down the sidewalk, texting on their smartphone and then tripping over a garage bag. Not getting seriously hurt but falling and seeing their precious device screen break on impact with the ground. Again, TAP type humor that offends almost no one - except maybe the person in the video. TAP humor is clean inoffensive type humor for most minds.

Smart Question 00301:

    • What's TAP got to say about entertainment in general?

TAP Response 00231:

    • A friend recently commented - communication today MUST include some level of entertainment value - else it will fail in its mission to bring about its objective. This pretty much sums up where our world has come to under the old model. TAP separates important info from all other info to emphasize its educational (honesty/truthfulness) value over its entertainment (maybe fiction included) value. This is NOT to say that educational value cannot almost be entertaining with facts and truth. TAP fully recognizes and understands the value of being able to entertain while educating. There's actually something, a factor, where when entertaining with fact and truth - it often results in better entertainment value. This factor has to do with the innate drive within all of us to better understand the truth of the world and universe. Knowing that something is real or really possible is far more provocative than knowing it's most likely impossible and only imaginary fiction. We can provoke with humor in truth or we can provoke with truth itself. What TAP is NOT interested in is provoking with:
        • Deception or lies
        • Skewed facts, truth or history
        • Mostly impossible fiction
    • But Real Fiction is mostly what TAP is interested in provoking minds with - simultaneously educating and entertaining. Inspiring the mind, the imagination and positive creativity itself.
