Dionysia is a city in Stoneshire Territory, EmoKingdom03_ Empire.
Dionysia was formed in April of 2025, and is the largest city by landmass in the Empire.
Dionysia was built to serve as the Imperial Capital of the EmoKingdom03_ Empire.
*Not to be mistaken with Matthium, the Royal Capital of EmoKingdom.
The city currently consists almost entirely of Government Buildings, though more monuments and entertainment structures are planned to be built in 2025-26.
Dionysia is named after the Greek God of Wine and Parties, Dionysus.
The city's name is based on Dionysia, which was a large festival in ancient Greece to honor Dionysus.

Upper & Lower Dionysia

The City of Dioynsia is split into two parts, Upper & Lower Dionysia.
The Upper & Lower city are divided by the Bacchus River, flowing between the two.
Upper Dionysia is the larger portion in the north, planned to consist of mainly government buildings along with certain entertainment buildings such a colosseum, amphitheater, and more. At the creation of this map (Oct. 2025) it already houses six government buildings.
Lower Dionysia is the smaller portion in the south, planned to consist of mainly civilian buildings such as banks, a royal theater, tailor shop, houses, and more. There are only two buildings in Lower Dionysia currently, The Divine Court (M.O.J.) and La Mange Orange, the first building in Stoneshire.

Dionysia was not originally intended to serve as the Imperial Capital of EmoKingdom03_. Established in April 2025, the settlement remained modest in scope until its expansion into Upper Dionysia the following month. Its earliest structure, La Mange Orange, predates the city itself, having been constructed in December 2024 before any formal plans for Dionysia existed.
The city’s governmental significance began with the construction of the Divine Court in early April 2025, followed by the Ministry of Defense in May. Prior to this shift, Dionysia had been envisioned as a relatively small, upscale town centered around luxury dining and high-end shops. However, the establishment of the Divine Court marked a turning point, redirecting the city’s development away from its original commercial focus.
Initially, the Divine Court had been planned for Matthium, which at the time stood as the sole capital of EmoKingdom. Due to limited space for additional government infrastructure, the decision was made to construct the court in Stoneshire instead. This move, placing a major government institution outside the EmoKingdom mainland, was met with moderate public and governmental disapproval. Despite this, as more government buildings were built in Dionysia, it gradually assumed the role of the primary administrative center, eventually being formally recognized as the Imperial Capital.
