THE EMRIALD ACT of 2024
Submitted by The House of Parliament of The Empire of EmoKingdom03_
on the day of November 3rd, 2024 during The 2nd Session of Parliament.
Enacted & Granted Royal Assent by way of the signatures of
Her Most Excellent Imperial Majesty Queen EmoGirl XXXVI,
His most Excellent Majesty, King Cubby I,
& His Royal Highness The Lt. King M. Sauvage.
In order to establish a stable and unified currency system within the Kingdom of Emokingdom03_,
this legislation officially creates Emrialds as the official currency.
This act also outlines the taxation system for all colonies to ensure the prosperity and development of the Kingdom.
Creation of Emrialds
Section One: Emrialds are hereby established as the official currency of the Kingdom of Emokingdom03_.
Section Two: Each Emriald is equivalent to one stack (64) of emeralds.
Section Three: There shall be three types of Emriald bills: 1 Emriald, 5 Emrialds, and 10 Emrialds.
Section Four: Emrialds bills can be exchanged with other bills of equal worth in the Bank of Emokingdom03_.
Section Five: Emrialds may be used freely as a currency for trading and purchasing/selling goods in shops or informally.
ARTICLE TWO
Colonial Taxes
Section One: Each colony of the Kingdom of Emokingdom03_ must pay a tax of five (5) Emrialds at the start of each month to the Kingdom.
Section Two: Emrialds must be obtained from moral sources, such as trading emeralds gained from either mining or from using the Kingdom trading hall in for Emrialds, then using those to pay tax. Tax Emrialds cannot be gained by result of trading with villagers outside of EmoKingdom03_ Empire.
Section Three: Colonies that do not pay the required tax may face repercussions from the Kingdom at its discretion. (See The NRWT Act)
Section Four: Emrialds can be shared between colonies to help one another pay for taxes or for any other reason.
Section Five: Emrialds not used for taxes can be obtained free of the aforementioned rules regarding moral emerald sources.
ARTICLE THREE
Payment For Builds and Projects
Section One: At the discretion of the royal council, the Kingdom may choose to pay colonial governors in return for completing builds or projects.
Section Two: The amount of Emrialds paid will be at a flat base rate of 5 Emrialds, though this can be raised or lowered should the royal council request so.
Section Three: All Emrialds gained from builds can be used towards taxes or other purposes.
THIS ACT HAS BEEN DEBATED UPON BY THE HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT AND PASSED A MAJORITY VOTE.
THIS ACT HAS BEEN GRANTED ROYAL ASSENT BY THE ROYAL COUNCIL AND HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY DECLARED A LAW AS OF NOVEMBER 3RD, 2024.
