THE FAIR TRADE ACT of 2025

& His Royal Highness The Lt. King M. Sauvage.
This Act establishes regulations to ensure fair trade practices, ethical advertising, and balanced economic competition within the EmoKingdom03_ Empire. The Act seeks to prevent market manipulation, territorial violations in commerce, and exploitative pricing while strengthening oversight by the empire.
Advertising
Section One: Any advertisement placed within the empire must be located on land owned by the individual or business placing the advertisement.
Section Two: If the advertisement is to be placed within city limits-such as Matthium, or Dionysia-prior approval must be obtained from the governing authorities.
Section Three: Unauthorized advertisements placed on land not owned by the advertiser or placed within restricted areas without approval shall be removed immediately.
Section Four: Violations shall incur fines, the amount of which shall be determined based on the severity of the violation and impact on public space or commerce.
Section Five: Members of the Royal family shall be exempt from this act.
ARTICLE TWO
Trade Regulations
Section One: All trade conducted within the empire must adhere to fair business practices, ensuring transparency in transactions and preventing deceptive or fraudulent dealings.
Section Two: Monopolistic practices or anti-competitive behaviors that undermine free-market principles shall be subject to regulatory review and possible penalties.
ARTICLE THREE
Price Gouging
Section One: The deliberate inflation of prices beyond reasonable market value during times of crisis or resource scarcity is strictly prohibited.
Section Two: Any merchant found guilty of price gouging shall face fines, possible restrictions on trade, or suspension of business operations within the empire.
Section Three: The empire retains the authority to set temporary price controls on essential goods to ensure fairness and accessibility for all citizens.
ARTICLE FOUR
Enforcement
Section One: The Ministry of Trade (Department of Trade, Ministry of The Treasury) & The Royal Council shall oversee enforcement of this Act, ensuring adherence through routine inspections and investigations.
Section Two: Violations of this Act shall be met with fines, suspensions, or further legal consequences as deemed necessary by the Divine Court.
Section Three: Businesses and individuals found repeatedly violating trade regulations may face expulsion from empire-controlled markets.
THIS ACT HAS BEEN DEBATED UPON BY THE HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT AND PASSED A MAJORITY VOTE.
THIS ACT HAS BEEN GRANTED ROYAL ASSENT BY THE ROYAL COUNCIL AND HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY DECLARED A LAW AS OF MAY 15TH, 2025.
