Requirements:

• General Report- what was stolen, cost of the items stolen, how suspect was identified

• Statements – victim/witness

• NTVOC – for civilians

• Serial Numbers/Unique describers for identifying items

• Video/Photos of suspect

• Notes / Will Say

• Link stolen property not recovered into Niche

Questions to ask for statement:

What happened?

Where did this happen?

When did this happen?

What was stolen?

What is the value of the items stolen?

Do you have any serial numbers for the stolen property? or Is there anything that can identify the property as yours (identifying marks)?

Is there any video of the theft?

Do you know who stole your property?

If the property was stolen from a motor vehicle, what kind of vehicle was it?  

What is the licence plate on the vehicle?

Was there damage caused to the vehicle?

Cost of the damage to the vehicle?

Were there any witnesses?  If yes, name, date of birth, phone number and address for victim.
