Check Your Visa Type: All students must hold either a Non-Immigrant ED or Non-Immigrant ED PLUS visa.
Verify Your Initial Permitted Stay: Upon your first arrival in Thailand, you should have been granted 90 days of permitted stay.
Renew Your Passport if Necessary: If your passport is valid for less than six months before your visa extension, you must renew it. To do so, please contact your embassy in Thailand.
Submit Documents on Time: Prepare and submit all required documents via Google Form at least 60 days before your visa expires.
Extend Your Visa Before It Expires:
Students must visit the immigration office to extend their visa before the expiration date.
Failure to extend your visa will result in an overstay fine of 500 Baht per day, up to a maximum of 20,000 Baht.
Overstaying may also lead to a ban from entering Thailand, as stated in the Acknowledgement of Penalties for Visa Overstay (STM.9 form).
Students are solely responsible for any fines incurred.

It takes 7 working days to issue the cover letter after submission.
Once your documents have been checked and IA&CR has already issued a cover letter to you. You will receive an email from Ms. Rapeepan to confirm that your documents are correct and you can receive the cover letter.
You are eligible to visit the immigration office up to 45 days prior to your visa's expiry date to submit the required documents for a visa extension.

SIIT Transportation Service
SIIT provides a van service once a week for students going to the immigration office. You can make a reservation at Van Reservation
Please note that SIIT van service is optional. You can go to the immigration on your own.
Once you have submitted your documents to the immigration office, your visa will be extended, and a visa extension stamp will be placed in your passport.
Please submit a copy of your updated visa extension stamp to Visa Extension Stamp Submission Form for double check and for our record.
