for SIIT Faculty and Staff Members
Please read carefully:
1. You are required to apply for a Work Visa (Non-Immigrant "B") at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ before entering Thailand.
2. It is strongly recommended to apply for the visa at least 2 months before your intended arrival in Thailand.
3. Upon arrival, your Work Visa will be valid for 90 days. You must extend your visa at the Pathum Thani Immigration Office before it expires.
4. Within 15 days of your first working day, you are required to apply for a Work Permit at the Department of Employment (Ministry of Labour) in Thailand.
5. You must extend your visa at least one month before the expiration date by submitting a request to the Immigration Office.
Please send the following documents and information to the International Office at SIIT:
A copy of the passport data page (PDF file)
The address of the Thai Embassy or Consulate where you will submit your visa application (City and Country)

Remark: Please contact the International Office as soon as your employment at SIIT is officially approved.
SIIT will prepare and issue the following documents:
Official Letter (in Thai) from Thammasat University, addressed to the Thai Embassy/Consulate, requesting a Work Visa on your behalf
Acceptance Letter (in English) confirming your employment at SIIT

Both letters will be scanned and sent to you via email. You will need to upload them to the Thai E-Visa system during your online application.
📌 Processing time: Approximately 5 working days after receiving the complete documents from Step 1.
Apply for your visa at: https://www.thaievisa.go.th/
Upload all required documents, including the SIIT-issued letters.
Additional documents may be required depending on the Thai Embassy or Consulate in your country.

Once your visa application is approved, you will receive a pdf. file of your working visa from from the Thai Embassy/Consulate by email.
It might take at least 3 days for approval. For more information, kindly contact the Thai Embassy/Consulate in the country that you apply for the visa.
