SIIT offers 9 international programs in Engineering, Technology, and Management. All courses are taught in English. Students from SIIT partner universities are welcome to join the Student Exchange Program for 1 - 2 semesters. Academic Calendar 2021
First semester: 9 August 2021 - 11 December 2021
Second semester: 10 January 2022 - 21 May 2022
SIIT is calling for applicants for the Student Exchange Program for the 2nd semester/2021 (10 January 2022 - 21 May 2022).
Nomination and Application Deadline: October 15, 2021
Application consideration process: October 15 - 29, 2021
Acceptance Letter: November 8-12, 2021
Recommended arrival date: by December 19, 2021* (All international students are required to quarantine for 14 days + 7 self-isolation)
Orientation week: January 3-7, 2022 (All exchange students are required to attend this session)
Classes begin: January 10, 2022
Final examination: May 9-21, 2022
Students should not book the return flight if your final examination dates are not confirmed. Please note that your student visa will be valid only for 90 days upon you arrive in Thailand. You have to extend the visa before it expires. You will be able to extend your visa until the end of May 2022. Therefore, you have to leave Thailand not over May 2022.
Upon arrival in Thailand, you will be required to spend no less than 14 days at a government-certified accommodation at your own expense. Please find information about the period of quarantine in the attachment and on the website of the Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate in your city. A reservation must be made by yourself. Quarantine accommodation expense is at least 16,100 baht depending on your options.
All expenses for entering and staying in Thailand, i.e. visa application, medical certificates, health insurance (covering your period of stay in Thailand), and quarantine accommodation must be the sole responsibility of the student.
3. *After the quarantine period at ASQ or OQ is over, all students are required to self-isolate for an additional 7 days (excluding check-in and check-out) at their residences. Please follow the suggestions of the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, to wear face masks, wash hands frequently, avoid crowded areas, practice social distancing, and continue monitoring your health conditions. You must not come to SIIT campuses during the self-isolation period.

Step 1 Interested student, first contact an International Office at a home university for an official nomination.
Step 3 Students who have been nominated by the home university prepare the following documents:
Regulations for exchange students with a signature of an applicant (only the first page with student’s signature is required to be submitted )
English Proficiency test score (TOEFL or IELTS, or an equivalent, or letter confirming applicant’s English proficiency)
Recommendation letter from an academic adviser
A copy of your passport
Remark: Please note that all SIIT courses offered to exchange students are undergraduate-level courses. For exchange students at the Master's level, please make sure that home universities can accept credits earned from undergraduate-level courses. Undergraduate exchange students are allowed to have access to 70% of the undergraduate courses at SIIT. On the other hand, students at the Master's level are allowed to have access to only 30% of the undergraduate courses at SIIT.
Step 4 Please submit the completed application and the required documents by email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than the deadline. The application documents can be submitted by the international exchange coordinator or by the student. The documents must be combined into one PDF file per one student.
The application must be submitted to SIIT within the deadline as follows:
1st semester: May 15
2nd semester: October 15
Step 5 All applications will be considered by SIIT after the deadlines. The consideration process takes 2-3 weeks.
Step 6 Acceptance letters will be sent to students' home universities by mid-June for the 1st semester, and by mid-November for the 2nd semester.
Step 7 Students will receive a greeting message from the SIIT International Affairs and Corporate Relations Division to be informed of the details of the airport pickup service, dormitory reservation, and course reservation.
Q: Do I have to pay for the tuition fee?
A: A student who has been official nominated by SIIT partner university, the tuition and education fee will be exempted.
Q: Is there the scholarship available for the exchange student?
A: SIIT does not provide any scholarship for the Student Exchange Program.
Q: Can I know the exact date of the first day of class?
A: Normally the exact dates of the beginning and the end of each semester will be finalized in June. The International Affairs will inform you as soon as the academic calendar has been announced.
Q: I am a Master student in my home university, is there any Master courses at SIIT?
A: There are only undergraduate courses offered to exchange students.
Q: Does SIIT confirm that I can take all courses I filled out in the application form?
A: List of your selected courses in the application is not for course registration. We just would like to survey your study plan at SIIT. You will be able to select the courses 2 weeks before the semester starts.
