Travel Advisory

Visa Application

1. An acceptance letter and an official letter addressed to the Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate in your city will be sent to your home university via email by June 15, 2021.

2. After receiving letters from SIIT, you must contact the Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate in your city to request to travel to Thailand and complete all procedures for traveling to Thailand. The Royal Thai Embassy will provide you with information on required documents for a visa application. You must apply for the non-immigrant ED visa only. (For more information, please visit the website of the Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate in your city.)

Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ)

Upon arrival in Thailand, you are required to spend at least 14 days at a government certified hotel (Alternative State Quarantine - ASQ) at your own expense. A list of ASQ options can be found at the website of Thai Royal Embassy/Consulate in your city. Reservation must be made by yourself.

All expenses for entering and staying in Thailand, i.e. visa application, medical certificates, health insurance (covering your period of stay in Thailand), and quarantine accommodation must be the sole responsibility of the student.

Self-Isolation

After the quarantine period at ASQ is over, all students are required to self-isolate for an additional 1 week at their residences. Please follow suggestions of the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, to wear face masks, wash hands frequently, avoid crowded areas, practice social distancing, and continue monitoring your health conditions. You must not come to SIIT campuses during the self-isolation period.
