Housing

SIIT is located in Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus, in the province of Phathumthani, 40 km north of Bangkok. However SIIT recommends all exchange students to stay at dormitories around the campus because it is more convenient to go to classes.

Since most of dormitories require at least 1-year stay. We are working hard to get the rooms for you.

However, if you would like to look for a dormitory by yourself, SIIT recommends that you stay in a temporary accommodation for the first few nights in order to find a suitable longer term accommodation option. Please let me know if you need a room to stay for a week while you are looking for accommodation.

We do not recommend staying in Bangkok and will not give support on finding your room. Traffic jams do happen every morning and classes can be held in other campus. Please be reminded that you have to attend at least 70% of classes. An excuse because of traffic is not an option.

Q: If I decide to stay at Dcondo and the owner of the room offers only 6-month contract while I will stay only 5-month contract, what should I do?

A: It is not easy to get 5-month contract. If you are not okay with the offer, you have to find the other room. Please do not expect that your buddy can get a 5-month contract for you. If you are okay with the 6-month contract, it means you have to pay for the rental fee of the 6th month even though you stay only 5 months. Otherwise, you will not get the deposit fee back. Before signing the agreement, please make sure about the period of your stay.
